Our Mission
Holomua Outreach exists to support and uplift the lineal and generational houseless descendants of Maui, beginning with our longtime commitment to Holomua Road. Through trust-building and the establishment of pilina (deep relationships), we provide consistent, compassionate care by delivering essential resources such as food, water, hygiene supplies, and other critical donations. Partnering with Maui Rapid Response, we show up every week to ensure that our community’s basic needs are met with dignity and aloha.
As our pilina has deepened, our kuleana has grown. Holomua Outreach has expanded to mālama houseless communities across Maui, responding to urgent needs in places such as Amala, Kahului, Lahaina, and beyond. With the support of grassroots partners, we help individuals and families secure photo IDs, enroll in SNAP benefits, and access medical insurance, empowering them with the resources needed for greater stability and well-being.
Beyond meeting immediate needs, our vision is to create and protect safe spaces where people can find refuge, restore connections, and step into a future rooted in cultural identity, self-determination, and collective resilience. By uplifting our people and strengthening networks of care, we continue to build a movement of healing, empowerment, and hope for Maui’s most vulnerable.
